Volunteer at Sospeso

Hold space. Share life. Walk together.

At Sospeso, volunteering isn’t about filling a shift. It’s about joining a community of people who care deeply about dignity, belonging, and renewal in Pomona.

Get Started

How to get started:

  • Fill Out the Volunteer Form
Start by completing our Volunteer Interest Form. You can select the areas you’d like to serve, like the thrift store, tutoring, teaching kitchen, coffeehouse, or special events.

  • Orientation & Connection
After submitting your form, you’ll hear from our team within 7–10 days. All volunteers complete an orientation before their first shift so you’ll feel confident and supported from day one.

  • We provide training for all roles. Mentors and tutors must have a college degree and be established community members in good standing. All other volunteers receive orientation and hands-on guidance from our staff. You’ll never be asked to serve in a role you’re not prepared for.

  • Volunteers are part of a community shaped by our core values: dignity, belonging, healing, hospitality, and contemplation in action. Every shift looks a little different, but the heart remains the same—creating a safe, welcoming, and respectful space for everyone who walks through our doors.
